When someone you respect calls you a racist, you can't just dismiss it, but you don't exactly feel like inviting them to explain. Just because I've tried to work against racism, doesn't mean I've always succeeded. We all have unconscious prejudices, we all say things that are stupid and thoughtless, and we all have areas that we are oversensitive about.
Sometimes we need to get over ourselves and accept that we are in the wrong, and try to make it right.
