Not that it should make any difference to the comic, but if you are interested, Battle Athletes is a six part anime series set in the far future. Later remade as the much longer Battle Athletes Victory TV series, it features all kinds of bizarre sporting events, many of which I, personally would like to see on the Olympic agenda.
